Five-Star Basketball is Coming to Mississippi
Junior 5-Star Basketball Camp for boys & girls ages 8-15. The camp will be held at The Hoop in Columbus, OH on July 18-22 from 9am-3pm.
(PRWEB) May 28, 2005 -- The Five-Star Basketball Camp, home to many of the
nation’s leading coaches, teachers and NBA players for forty years is running
its first ever day camp program in the Jackson area.
Five-Star is
offering its’ Junior Five-Star program for 8-14 year olds June 20-24 at
Mississippi Basketball & Athletics in Jackson, MS. The camp will feature the
same curriculum and structure that has impacted many of the greatest players and
coaches in basketball history. Camp alumni include Michael Jordan to Lebron
James, Patrick Ewing to Carmelo Anthony and 23 players drafted in the last two
NBA drafts. A few of the coaches who developed at our camp include; Bob Knight,
Paul Hewitt, Jeff Van Gundy, Rick Pitino, John Calipari, Mike Fratello and Hubie
Brown.
Junior Five-Star has impacted several thousand players the past
five years assisting them in their development towards reaching their highest
potential. The program is for the “serious” player committed to the hard work
and instructional format that Five-Star is known for. The camp features
Five-Star’s world-renown stations (developed by Bobby Knight in the 1960’s),
lectures, games, and contests. Junior Five-Star is open to all boys & girls
8-14 years of age who want to play “at a higher level”. The camp utilizes a
three league format to ensure that participants play against their competitive
peers.
