James Hodges formerly of the Harlem Globetrotters joins Suwanee Sports Academy. Hodges will be a player development instructor for the Academy's On Court Player Development program.
SUWANEE, GA (PRWEB) June 3, 2005 -- James Hodges, former member of the Harlem
Globetrotters, announced this week that he will join the Suwanee Sports Academy
(SSA) as a Player Development Instructor. James will be part of the coaching
staff of the Academy’s new program On Court Player Development, which offers
comprehensive basketball development for kids beginning in kindergarten and
continuing all the way thru the pros. James played professional basketball for
11 years in various leagues around the world. He has spent the last several
years with the World Basketball Association as the Director of Scouting.
“James brings a passion for the game of basketball and a wealth of
knowledge to our On Court Player Development program. I have seen James work
with kids, and he really understands how to connect with them and help them
improve,” notes Kevin Cantwell, Director of Basketball Programs at SSA.
Along with his duties as a coach, James will help develop SSA’s training
program for elite and professional basketball players. Already SSA is planning
to train at least a dozen NBA and other professional basketball players this
summer as they prepare for their upcoming seasons. “I look forward to working
with James and the rest of the staff at the Suwanee Sports Academy this summer,”
said the Phoenix Sun’s Amare Stoudemire.
