If Someone Told You Fight Clubs Were A Myth, They Lied
All-female underground fightclub becoming the newest rage since Million Dollar Baby. Imposters try to bootleg -- as producers fight back. Demolition Pictures presents “Extreme Chickfights: Kickin’ Ass and Taking Names.”
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) August 11, 2005 -- Extreme Chick Fights has been one of
the most pirated DVDs on the market with wanna-be companies taking credit for
something they didn’t do. While there is a company who had tried to claim credit
for this unusual DVD—the credit belongs to two girls who had an idea and a
penchant for kicking ass—and who formed a company called Demolition
Pictures.
Three words characterize Extreme Chick Fights: blood, beauty
and lots of booty. Welcome to the world of underground fight clubs, where
everyone from office execs, street fighters to bored housewives actively search
out where the next event will take place and patiently wait their turn to vent
some rage. Herein lies a culture of vendettas, trash talking and an ominous
underlying tone of fierce competition and domination. After following the
underground fight club movement for the past several years, producers Marie and
Hakimah finally decided to capture this counter-culture on video.
“It’s
been a real battle-trying to keep fight all of the bottom feeders. The fact is
Demolition Pictures is an all-girl production company—we created the concept, we
created the DVDs and we are the only company that currently distributes Extreme
Chick Fights—if you got it somewhere else—it’s a hacked version by a wanna-be.”
Marie explains.
The raw, explicit content is 100% real and so are the
women. Locations vary from back yards, trailers to after-hours club locations.
Every fighter has their own story to tell of what has brought them into the
ring. Hakimah explains, “Since we never know who is going to show up to the
fight, we never know what is going to happen. We’ve had sisters kicking each
other’s butts—to even a mother and her daughter giving each other the
beat-down.” Recognizing and respecting the unspoken set of rules in this
community is imperative to participation. Being part of this community appears
to be addictive. “Women have a natural inclination to scratch each other’s eyes
out. We just give them a forum to do it in—it’s a fightclub run by women and
fought by women. No men are involved. . .but they can watch,” states Marie.
The “Extreme Chickfights” series will be released into retail September
12th. www.ExtremeChickfights.com or 800-475-8583.
