(PRWEB) April 3, 2005 -- In sweeping and beautiful passages from his latest
book, McGill’s verse sings to the mysteries of our existence, “To each and every
living thing - The call of life will enthrall, - From the mysteries, up we
spring, Then to them back we fall!”
Book selling giants, Barnes and
Noble, and Amazon.com have picked up Bryant H. McGill’s new book of prose,
poetry, artwork, sculptures, and photography for retail sales in the United
States, United Kingdom and Asia. Existence journeys into the grand and
mysterious corridors of the human condition. Touching on themes of love, birth,
death, change, and nature; submerge your meditations into the truths of old
world religions, mysticism, Eastern and Western philosophies, and new age
awakenings. Listen to the insights of sages and rumors from Egypt, Mesopotamia,
Rome, Asia, Greece, Africa and the Americas. Pry at the very roots and
constructs of Jungian symbolism and ostensibly abstract thought. Brood over
humanity’s outward manifestations of a collective and dynamic consciousness that
lurks within the aboriginal self; suggesting a powerful struggle between
concepts of inner and outer reality. McGill is searching for the delicate
fragrances of ancient knowledge, perceptions, and primordial archetypes that
like a thin, veiled mist, linger dormant in the folklore, stories, mythology,
tradition and art of our human progenitors, all culminating to impress the
reader with a sense of our greater purpose in life.
Existence is a
contextual work which has also been carefully complemented with relevant
contributions by other artists, contemporary poets, book excerpts, famous
quotes, stories and poetry of the ages. Through this non-linear approach, McGill
hopes to offer the common reader a rich texture and discussion from diverse
cultural perspectives about the mysteries and meanings of our existence.
McGill’s new book features a variety of his never-before-released work from his
childhood and early youth. An ardent proponent of numerous charities, McGill has
committed 10% of the profit from his book sales to be donated to the American
Cancer Society, St. Jude's Ranch for Children, Capital Hospice, Special Olympics
and the Covenant House New York.
McGill, a dedicated advocate of the
poetic arts, has chosen sixteen new poets and artists from over 2,500
submissions he received last year to be featured in his book alongside his own
work. McGill comments on the featured contributors: “Congratulations to Bill
Perrot, Charlotte Moore, Chloe Ryan, Chris S. Heinen, Dennis C. Chisum,

d'Ashuri, Michael Hernandez, Ochora David, Rebecca D. Roberts, Renee Terrell,
