Renowned Management Guru Tom Peters Headlines June 15 Kan-Ed Wichita Forum

Tom Peters, author of the landmark management book "In Search of Excellence" and current best-seller "Re-Imagine!!Business Excellence in a Disruptive Age," will headline the first-ever Kan-Ed Membership and Leadership Forum

(PRWEB) June 8, 2005 -- Who: Tom Peters, author of the seminal management book “In Search of Excellence” and current author of best-seller “Re-Imagine! Business Excellence in a Disruptive Age,” will discuss the “State of the State” of Kansas in an event open to the public.

What: The first-ever Kan-ed Membership and Leadership Forum starting June 15th and running through June 17 sponsored by Sprint and Cox Communications.

Where: At the Century II Convention Center in Wichita.

When: Wednesday, June 15, 2005 from 1-5 p.m.

Overview: Kan-ed was created by an act of the Kansas Legislature on April 20, 2001 and funded in January 2003. It is designed to give Kansans a competitive advantage in the global marketplace by connecting the state’s hospitals, libraries, universities and K-12 institutions with high-speed bandwidth to connect members and provide for content and services such as databases, videoconferencing, telemedicine and interactive distance learning. Funded by the Kansas Universal Service Fund and under the auspices of the Kansas Board of Regents, Kan-ed is responsible for the creation, operation and maintenance of the network.
