-WasteNot.com Diverts Almost Two Million Pounds of Residential and Industrial Waste in First Full Year of Operation
i-WasteNot.com Systems have diverted almost 2 million pounds of residential and industrial waste in their first full year of operation.
Mallorytown, Ontario (PRWEB) May 7, 2005 -- Landfills in 3 States and 3
Provinces are missing over 1000 tons of good used “stuff” thanks to a powerful
and effective residential materials exchange system developed and operated on
behalf of municipalities and environmental groups by i-WasteNot.com of
Mallorytown, Ontario.
Over 2 million pounds of material was diverted in
2004 and 2005 is shaping up to be an even more productive year as additional
systems come on stream in more communities across North America.
i-WasteNot.com offers an innovative subscription based web service to
municipalities to reduce landfill and waste collection costs, cut greenhouse gas
emissions, and conserve energy and natural resources. The service is also a
great way for low-income people to reduce their cost of living.
i-WasteNot.com systems are at work in 15 counties and 3 cities in the
State of Washington, and also in Madison-Dane County, Wisconsin; Renfrew County,
Ontario; Vancouver, British Columbia; Brockville-Gananoque-Westport, Ontario and
in Smith Falls and Kingston, Ontario.
The system has grown from less
than 500 members in 2003, to over 10,000 members in 2004 and has already gained
another 4000 members in the first two months of 2005.
The service gives
local recycling managers a complete materials exchange system ready to go. Along
with an Administrator’s Control Panel, the system features a reporting mechanism
to track and report on the amount of waste diverted. The system is affordable
and has already paid for itself in Washington State and Madison, Wisconsin in
landfill and collection costs alone.
Shannon McClelland, Recycling
Coordinator for the City of Shelton, Washington says “This is the best company I
have ever worked with. They are extremely professional and responsive.”
i-WasteNot provides Custom Residential, Industrial, Reusable Building
Materials, Government Surplus and other Materials Exchanges.
