KUA Announces Record Downloads of 2005 Hurricane Guide
In the first 72 hours following the guide's debut on May 18, Kissimmee Utility Authority recorded more than 1,000 downloads of the free handbook.
Kissimmee, FL (PRWEB) May 25, 2005 -- Kissimmee Utility Authority, Florida's
sixth largest community-owned electric utility, today announced that it has
achieved record breaking success with the online distribution of its 2005
Osceola Hurricane Handbook.
In the first 72 hours following the guide's
debut on May 18, the utility recorded more than 1,000 downloads of the free
handbook.
Developed by KUA as a way to communicate detailed information
about disaster preparedness, the 36-page handbook is packed with important
information on hurricanes and floods, plus helpful Osceola County phone numbers,
a disaster supplies checklist and a storm tracking chart.
The guide can
be downloaded from KUA's website at www.kua.com/hurricane.
Printed copies of the handbook
will be available beginning June 6 in the lobby of KUA's customer service
center, located at 1701 W. Carroll Street in Kissimmee. To receive a mailed copy
