Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) May 7, 2005 -- Platinum Television Group, a leading producer of educational programming, is proud to announce a partnership with Green Seal, an independent, non-profit organization that strives to achieve a healthier and cleaner environment by identifying and promoting products and services that cause minimal toxic pollution and waste, conserve resources and habitats, and minimize global warming and ozone depletion.

Dr. Arthur B. Weissman, president and CEO of Green Seal, will immediately join the Advisory Board of PTG’s well-received show “Business & Beyond,” a 30-minute show aired nationally on National Geographic as well as on regional cable networks. Weissman will also open each show by introducing the companies chosen to appear on the segments.

Green Seal, based in Washington, D.C., has no financial interest in the products that it certifies or recommends nor in any manufacturer or company--its evaluations are based on state-of-the-art science and information using internationally recognized methods and procedures. Thus, Green Seal provides credible, objective, and unbiased information to direct the purchaser to environmentally responsible products and services.

Business & Beyond will produce a special five-part series on “Environmentally Favorable Companies,” in conjunction with Green Seal. “We are excited to present such important options to our TV audience, the informed and discriminating viewers of Business & Beyond,” said Walter Burton, vice president of Platinum Television Group. All featured guests are the subject of a five-to-seven minute segment written in feature-story format and presented in a visually exciting way. The show will air during the third or fourth quarter of 2005.

In addition to the broadcast exposure of network airings—nationally on National Geographic, RNN--PTG offers unique media publicity options to enhance the series. Press releases announce the featured guests in prime spots on the Internet. Company logos are featured in full-page ads for the shows in relevant and prominent national magazines with wide circulations.

Since its founding in 1989, Green Seal has certified over 400 products and services, including those of 3M, Rochester Midland, General Electric, Sherwin-Williams, Panasonic, Trane, Carrier, and Pittsburgh Paints. Green Seal has issued environmental standards covering over 40 major categories of products and services which can be certified.

Green Seal also has programs giving technical assistance to all levels of government in their purchasing, operations, and facilities management; providing technical reports and specific brand recommendations to institutional purchasers; and working with the international ecolabeling community to promote greener production and purchasing. Green Seal is currently in a long-term project with hotels and motels to green their operations and purchasing, and now includes certification of specific properties. The highly desirable Green Seal provides a marketing advantage, for it identifies a product as environmentally preferable, and the Green Seal Certification Mark is protected under Federal law.
