(PRWEB) June 8, 2005 -- Every year, California Waterscapes (www.californiawaterscapes.com) sponsors its annual Parade of
Ponds tour to help raise funds for local charities. This year, they have teamed
up with the North American Water Garden Society who is coordinating the world’s
largest pond tour ever the weekend of July 9th and 10th. Currently pond owners
from over 26 states across the US will be participating in the national pond
tour all on the same weekend.
As the largest builder of water gardens on
the west coast, California Waterscapes customers will be opening up their
backyards to allow visitors this rare opportunity to visit their private water
gardens. The self-guided tour begins at the California Waterscapes store located
at 2729 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta. This year it will feature more than 20
water gardens across the Los Angeles area. It is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on
July 9th and 10th. Pond Tour tickets are $15. Admission for children 12 and
under is free.
All Parade of Ponds proceeds go to Los Angeles charities
including The Desi Geestman Foundation, The Glendale Humane Society, The Way to
Happiness Foundation, and Renaissance Academy. Parade of Pond tickets are being
sold directly by many of the participating charities and at local garden centers
including California Cactus in Pasadena, Jackalope in North Hollywood, and the
California Waterscapes store in La Crescenta.
