Fantasy Football Comes to the NAFL
For the first time fantasy football will no longer just exist inside the professional football arena.
New York City, NY (PRWEB) August 8, 2005 -- For the first time fantasy
football will no longer just exist inside the professional football arena. It
can now be found in the arena of minor-league football.
The North
American Football League (NAFL) will launch it’s own Fantasy Football League on
August 8th, 2005. The new League was started by the NAFL Players Association and
will partner with Full Speed Sports Management. It will provide for fans of
minor-league football the opportunity to compete on the Fantasy level for the
first time. The League is innovative and user friendly allowing participants to;
change starting lineups at anytime, pick offensive and defensive players,
compete against friends and provide numerous NAFL player and team statistics as
part of play. There is also the opportunity to win major prizes through league
sponsored contests.
Robin Williams, Director of Player Personal for the
NAFL believes that the introduction of fantasy football to the NAFL opens a new
chapter for the league. “With still more room for team development in the NAFL,
the Players Association believes that this league deserves an opportunity to be
honored by way of Fantasy Football”, Robin continued, “This new project surely
creates an atmosphere for team owners, coaches and players to feel appreciated
by their fans and board members.”
NAFL Fantasy football will be free
until the 8th game of the current season. After that it will cost $29.99 to join
the League. By registering before the cut off date, participants will save 10%
off their registration fee.
This Fantasy League will offer the same fun,
excitement and interactive play as product produced by major league entities.
“NAFL Fantasy Football will be similar to NFL Fantasy Football. The concept and
format of NAFL Fantasy Football will not be misconstrued from its origin” said
Chad Dudley, owner of Full Speed Sports Management the management group running
the NAFL fantasy football site
