SumoKids Foundation Holds Golf Tournament on Sunday, August 21, at the Fort Erie Golf Club
The SumoKids Foundation is raising money to support its After School Programs.
(PRWEB) July 28, 2005 -- The SumoKids Foundation, which has registered for
not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization status, will hold a Golf Tournament to
raise funds on Sunday, August 21. The event will start at 12:00 pm at the Fort
Erie Golf Club, in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. The cost is $65.00 Canadian or
$55.00 US.
“We offer summer programs and After School Programs to
introduce Buffalo children to the fun and excitement of Sumo Wrestling,” said
Charles Bray, president of the SumoKids Foundation. “Because our programs are
free to schools and children, we are raising funds from individual and corporate
donors.”
The SumoKids Sumo Wrestling Clinics and SumoKids After School
Programs are educational sports training and festivals that are open to all
children between 6 and 16 years old. The programs weave the traditional arts of
Sumo Wrestling with elements of contemporary youth culture into an exciting
youth adventure.
“Our first year was successful, and was self-funded,”
said Henry Chapman III, master coach of the SumoKids Foundation. “This summer,
we are starting our first fund raising event by hosting this golf tournament so
that we can expand our programs throughout Western New York in the fall.”

The SumoKids Foundation seeks corporate sponsors to help
cover the costs of the program. For more information about sponsoring SumoKids,
