Charities the Real Winners at New Jersey’s Seaview Golf Resort’s LPGA Classic

When Marriott’s Seaview Resort and Spa in Galloway New Jersey played host to the 2005 LPGA Classic, the real winners were a host of local charities.

(PRWEB) July 15, 2005 -- On May 28 through June 5 2005, Marriott’s Seaview Resort and Spa in Galloway New Jersey played host to the 2005 LPGA Classic. Although Sweden native Annika Sorenstam won the tournament, the real winners once again were the local and regional charities who over the last 20 years have been the beneficiaries of more than $10 million dollars in contributions during this prestigious annual event.

“Seaview would like to pass along our sincere thanks to the staff of the ShopRite LPGA Classic, Larry and Ruthie Harrison, the Galloway Township Police Department, the State Police of New Jersey, the Galloway business community, all of the volunteers that braved the weather in the first two rounds and the heat during the third round, our incredible grounds crew and the staff of the Seaview Resort & Spa.” said Director of Sales & Marketing, Tim Cahill.

Several local newspaper articles, written during the tournament, commented on the condition of Seaview’s Bay course and the amazing work that had gone into preparing it for the tournament. In congratulating the Seaview grounds crew Cahill added “Several of the players commented that our Bay course was ‘the best conditioned course they have played on tour’. What a tremendous endorsement of your efforts to know that the players feel so strongly about our historic course.”

Seaview Resort and Spa has hosted the LPGA classic for the past 20 years, and in that time has helped raise over 10 million dollars for local charities. More details can be found at: http://www.seaviewgolf.com
