Staffcentrix Unveils New Virtual Careers Training Program
Part of the Growing Homeshoring Trend, Home-Based Career Development Program™ will Teach Participants to Find Legitimate Telework and Freelance Jobs Online
Woodstock, CT (PRWEB) June 3, 2005 –– Staffcentrix, a leading provider of
virtual careers training and related resources to the Armed Forces and other
clients, has announced the launch of its Home-Based Career Development Program™,
the latest in its series of virtual careers training programs. The new 6-hour
program will teach participants to find legitimate home-based employment and
freelance opportunities on the Internet.
The training in its pilot phase
will be facilitated by Staffcentrix and hosted by Army base Ft. Sam Houston in
San Antonio, Texas, and will be given June 9 at the base’s Army Community Center
(ACS). The workshop will be open to everyone eligible to receive career
development services from the ACS, and is given at no cost to
attendees.
“The Home-Based Career Development
Program™,” says Staffcentrix COO Michael Haaren, “is founded in large part on
expertise Staffcentrix developed in researching and publishing the ‘Rat Race
Rebellion,’ our weekly bulletin of screened telework and freelance jobs.
Unfortunately, the home-based jobs arena is littered with scams, and our
researchers must eliminate approximately 30 leads for every one we publish. In
our new program, we show people how they themselves can find that needle in the
haystack, so they can enjoy the family-friendly and environmental benefits of
home-based work with a bit more peace of mind.”
"The homesourcing or
homeshoring trend goes far beyond call centers," notes Staffcentrix CEO
Christine Durst. "The true revolution, and the much larger story, is in how
home-based independent contractors in particular function as cost-optimal growth
agents for small business and microenterprise."
The new program will also
include information on how to find companies that routinely hire home-based
workers; how to customize resumes to make them more attractive to remote or
virtual employers; how to work effectively with children in the house; and how
to understand the difference between working as an employee and as an
independent contractor.
