Posters Transform Kid's Art into Fine Art and Help Raise Thousands for Schools

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) December 13, 2004 -- Kid’s Art Project designs fine art posters around even the simplest children’s art to create a display so impressive, it could pass as a museum print in your home. The idea was originally developed to give parents a unique way to showcase and preserve their children’s art while helping to support their schools. Kid’s Art Project will donate 10 % of every purchase to schools and other charitable organizations.

Gene Bouldin, owner of Kid’s Art Project said, “Kid’s art in itself is amazing, but something magical happens when you creatively enhance it with the child’s name, date, and a complimentary background. In essence, ‘fridge art’ becomes worthy of any wall. The child is honored, the parents are proud, and grandparents clamor for copies.”

Since posters can also be designed around multiple works of art, the idea has naturally evolved into a valuable fundraising tool as well providing new opportunities for schools. Original classroom collage posters sell for thousands of dollars at school auctions around the country.

Brenda Hunt, a parent volunteer at Emily Dickinson Elementary in Redmond, Washington, recently commissioned two classroom posters for their school auction. “The posters received rave reviews and collectively raised $3,600 so we couldn’t be more thrilled,” said Ms. Hunt. “Plus, this concept opens up new opportunities for us. Parents who desperately want the art but missed out in the bidding can purchase smaller copies. They make great teacher appreciation gifts as well.”

Kid’s Art Project was developed in 2002 to celebrate the creative efforts of our children and to help support the educational and community organizations that nurture them. Combining the latest technologies in digital imaging and printing with museum quality paper and archival inks, Kid's Art Project transforms treasured original "kid art" into large format fine art posters. Samples, order forms, and a variety of size and pricing options are available through the website at www.kidsartproject.com
