Rotary Club of Amherst East Donates $3,500 to Amherst and Buffalo, New York, Causes
The Rotary Club of Amherst East, New York, donates $1,000 to the Amherst Museum, $500 to the Amherst Symphony, $1,000 to the Resurrection Lutheran Church Health Center of Buffalo, and $1,000 for a scholarship for a Williamsville East High School student.
(PRWEB) December 20, 2004 -- The Rotary Club of Amherst East will donate a
total of $3,500 to four local causes. The club is donating the net proceeds of
its annual wine tasting event.
“We hold a wine tasting event each year to
raise funds for local causes,” said Paul McAfee, president of the Rotary Club of
Amherst East. “This year, we will donate $1,000 to the Amherst Museum, $500 to
the Amherst Symphony Orchestra Association, and $1,000 to the Resurrection
Lutheran Church Health Center, in Buffalo. We also will donate $1,000 as a
scholarship for a student at the Williamsville East High School.”

Supervisor Susan Grelick commented, “I think it's great that Rotary is leading
the way on increased civic support for the Amherst Museum and Symphony.” She
added, “I hope their example inspires other organizations to show their support
