A New Worlds Board Breaking Record Attempt 1000, 1"X12"X12" Pine Boards in One Minute
Eddie L. Murphy Jr., a 48 year old black man and Fifth degree black belt, who believes he holds the current record he set in August of 1999 of 502 boards in 55 seconds.
(PRWEB) September 11, 2004 -- Mr. Murphy, a retired U.S. Army Seargeant First
Class has been a student and teacher of the martial arts for over 30 years. In
August of 1999 he believes he set a worlds record by breaking 502 boards in 55
seconds as part of a fund raising drive in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during bay shore
safety days to help fight cancer.
He has never been recognized for his
efforts even though it was covered by all the local news media. In recent
international news, there was a report of someone in California setting the
record however he only broke 420 boards. Mr. Murphy using the words often spoken
on the show Highlanders, "there can be only one".
Mr. Murphy has set his
sights to show the world that he alone is the worlds breaking champ. As part of
the opening ceremonies at the Lake View RecPlex in pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
he will attempt to break 1000 boards in less than one minute.
