“The Way of Martial Yoga” — how to saturate your life with infinite purpose, strength, joy, peace, love and wisdom.
For one night only, Sifu Robert Brown, and Reverend Tom Kelly convene at the Encinitas Community Center to present “The Way of Martial Yoga” — how to saturate your life with infinite purpose, strength, joy, peace, love and wisdom.
(PRWEB) July 9, 2004 --
A monk and a martial artist become brothers many
years ago, but Reverend Kelly and Sifu Brown see their paths as one - thru
complete discipline over the mind and body, transformation to higher states of
awareness, and with a deep connection to Spirit. Both dynamic inspirational
speakers, they have each traveled the world--now together for one
night to
explore "The Way of Martial Yoga".
Sifu Brown runs one of the largest
adult martial arts school in the nation, The School of Chinese Martial Arts,
just outside of Detroit. As a child, he overcame the
limitations of Cerebral Palsy and severe Dyslexia thru rigorous martial arts
training and meditation. He is the creator of the
“Lessons in Mindfulness” Program, which incorporates meditation techniques in a
variety of settings to produce greater productivity and happiness. The author of
“Our Deeds Determine Us”, “Happiness is a Choice” and 13 other CDs, he also
created a successful Martial Arts Therapy program, along with Physical
Therapists in the Detroit area, which helps children and adults dealing with
closed head injuries and other physical impairments. He is currently touring
internationally supported by Educational Funding Company on his Mindfulness
Program.
Reverend Tom Kelly is the President of Soul of Yoga, a
non-denominational Yoga school that supports a spiritual perspective on every
day living. As a monk of more than 25 years, he took vows of chastity,
obedience, loyalty and simplicity, has traveled the world, deeply involved in
humanitarian service to others, and motivating groups and individuals to their
highest aims. He is the creator of “Harmony Vinyasa”,
and “On Buddhi Mind”, designed to inspire and promote joy in our lives, and
conducts a weekly donation service open to the public called “Spirit
Voyages---Soul-Centered Talks on Daily Living” with his wife Trisha at the Soul
Center in Encinitas.
Last year, a popular portion of the presentation
was the participation by the audience in a guided Tai Chi
exercise. Tai Chi is a lethal fighting art, but in
modified form is a health regimen, dedicated to total body awareness with
complete peace.
