AGSM Expands to New Colorado Site and Appoints New President
Advanced management education degree program expands in geographic hub of online learning innovation
(PRWEB) October 11, 2004 -- The American Graduate School of Management
(AGSM), a provider of premium advanced management education programs, has
announced the addition of key staff and expansion to a larger site in
Colorado.
Effective immediately, Mary Adams has been appointed President
of the institution. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Adams served as President of
Aspen University for five years. Ms. Adams experience in university-level
distance and online education includes 16 years of executive and operations
experience. Considered a pioneer in the distance education industry, Ms. Adams
is a recipient of a 1999 Distinguished Service award and a 2003 Distinguished
Recognition award from the Distance Education and Training Council, a
Washington, D.C.-based global leader in accreditation.
Also, Dr. Lawrence
Droutman has been appointed Dean of the American Graduate School of Management.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Droutman served as Associate Dean of the
institution, focusing primarily on accreditation and institutional development.
Dr. Droutman earned a Ph.D. in International Relations from Columbia University;
an M.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University; and a B.A. in
Economics from Princeton University. Dr. Droutman has taught at Vanderbilt
University and Lansbridge University, and as a guest lecturer at the University
of Pittsburgh. In addition to his academic experience, he served as an executive
with several companies.

In addition, the American
Graduate School of Management is expanding to a new office in Colorado. This new
site provides capacity for the institution to expand in a region noted as a
center for online learning innovation. The American Graduate School of
Management 's parent company, American Learning Solutions, Inc., will remain in
Nashville, Tennessee.
