Durham, NH (PRWEB) September 8, 2004 –- The results of three major Public
Relations research projects will be unveiled at The Second
Annual Summit on the Future of Measurement and Accountability. Corporate
communications executives who attend the public relations conference will be the
first to see the new findings.
Results of the first global survey of
measurement practices will be discussed during the opening of the Measurement
Summit. This survey was conducted with the cooperation of The Institute for
Public Relations Research and Education, the IABC, The Institute of Public
Relations (UK), the International Public Relations Association, The Arthur W.
Page Society and many of the world’s associations for professional
communicators. The survey, which was sent to thousands of PR practitioners
around the world, determines the current practices of measurement in Europe,
Latin America, and the U.S.
Additionally, Slipstream will be presenting
the results of a study commissioned by CyberAlert that will provide more insight
into attitudes and preferences regarding measurement practices among US
practitioners. Finally, Dr. Don Stacks will be presenting the preliminary
findings of research conducted by David Michaelson on PR’s credibility factor
compared to advertising.
Katie Delahaye Paine, CEO of KDPaine &
Partners, LLC, and organizer of The Summit on the Future of Measurement 2004,
said, “For years people have claimed that PR is more credible than advertising,
and therefore PR results should be given some sort of a multiplier effect. Dr.
Stacks and his colleague, David Michaelson, set out to prove or disprove that
theory once and for all. Come to the Summit and hear first hand what they found
out.”
In addition, new research on how to measure corporate transparency,
non-financial indicators, and emotional response to PR programs are just a few
of the many other reports that will premier at the Summit.
The Second
Annual Summit on the Future of Measurement and Accountability will be held
September 21-24, 2004, at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. The
public relations conference will bring researchers, academics and corporate
communications executives together to discuss public relations and PR
performance measurement strategies.
