Pilot broadcast of SPL football, Dundee United v Dundee by Internetfootball.co.uk

(PRWEB) January 26, 2005 -- This pilot is announced as part of the Club’s ongoing investigations into a possible broadcast of all Dundee United's SPL matches to overseas fans. The Live broadcast of the whole game is only available outside the UK and Northern Ireland, with a whole game archive version available globally after the UK blackout restriction period ends at midnight on Sunday. The Dundee United v Dundee match will be available at www.internetfootball.co.uk.

Overseas fans may purchase single game live viewing rights for only £5 and the archive version is priced at £3. Orders for the Live game can be placed right up until kick off.

Dundee United FC is delighted to be involved in offering this match LIVE to fans overseas. Derek Robertson, Director, said “Requests for live internet broadcasts and, indeed, radio commentary are received regularly on the ArabFORUM question and answer feature on our website. So, there’s clearly a demand out there. We’ve been looking into this for sometime and this is another step in the process of deciding the way ahead. We’re keen to build good communication links with all of our fans and this added service should help this.”

Archives of recent matches, including Saturday's Dunfermline v Dundee United match can be found by logging on to www.internetfootball.co.uk in
the 'view archives' section. To view the action, subscribers must have a Broadband internet connection (min. 512K), Windows Media Player 9 and PC with Windows 98 or later (Macs are not supported due to limitations with DRM). The order procedure is simple, providing the subscriber has Broadband and appropriate pc spec.

3. enter valid email and then payment details
4. receive password at email address (entered above)
5. go to 'watch the match'
6. enter email & password when prompted
7. press play.
