IRELANDS WAYNE ROONEY TURNS RADIO REALITY Star

Northern Ireland’s footballer Curtis Allen (16) from AFC Bournemouth FC will star in the first radio reality show of its kind called MAKING IT. The young hit man has scored 6 goals in six games in preseason for Bournemouth under 18’s/res. Curtis’s style of play is Wayne Rooney like , very aggressive with skill, pace and power. (PRWEB) September 4, 2004 -- Northern Ireland’s footballer Curtis Allen (16) from AFC Bournemouth FC has just signed a 9 month contract to star in the first radio reality radio show of its kind. The show will follow the ups and downs of a young footballer trying to make it big in football. The young hit man has scored 6 goals in six games in preseason for Bournemouth under 18’s and reserves. Curtis’s style of play is Wayne Rooney like, very aggressive with skill, pace and power.

Gary Nelson, Allen’s agent will be co-presenting the show, and said “It’s an exciting development for Curtis and indeed anyone who follows football. The show starts on September 4 and will be on between 2:15pm to 3pm every Saturday on Belfast’s Citybeat 96.7 FM radio station.

Nelson, will dedicate the first show to his media hero Mike Porky Parry from Talk sport, who is seriously ill in hospital with a heart condition. Nelson says "I’ve never met the man before, but he has inspired me to become a presenter, so I will dedicate my debut show to a true professional."

I hope all the youngsters that will be trying to make it in the game will have the same fighting spirit as Porky! The main objective of “Making IT” will be to give youngsters the tools necessary to help them progress towards becoming a professional footballer.

The show will be informative and listeners will be able to phone in and discuss how they, their family or friends can "Make IT" in the game. The show is aimed at young children, players who have been released from club, pros or just about anyone who wants to know how to make it big.

Curtis, from Belfast will give a diary of what every week is like for him from training, playing in matches to general football life.
