Mickey Yasko Weightlifting Clinic being held September 10, 2005 at the Longwood, Florida Sports Complex.
Join us for this educational sports clinic for 8th through 12th graders, coaches and parents. We have superb speakers on topics from sports nutrition to anti steriod and supplement use, weightlifting techniques and all sport conditioning. There will also be a high school weightlifting officiating session.
(PRWEB) August 24, 2005 -- Join us for this spectacular clinic to educate,
guide and support Seminole County athletes. We invite all 8th through 12th grade
athletes and potential athletes, parents and coaches. The clinic’s sessions
include sports wellness/nutrition, anti-steroid and supplement use,
weightlifting techniques for high school and Olympic weightlifting, all sports
conditioning and a mini officiating clinic.
Our speakers will include Dr.
Susan Hewlings, RD, LD, CSCS from Stetson University, Chad Weikel, Youth
Education Manager at US Anti-Doping Association, Jeremy Johnson, SHS Alumni and
former high school weightlifter, Richard Lansky, Executive Director of Team
Florida, Board of Directors USA Weightlifting and FHSAA High School Officiating
Representative, and Jeff Higuera, PCS, CSCS, CPT, HFI and Sports Performance
Team Leader at the RDV SPORTSPLEX.

encouraging academic/athletes to be their very best. Each year the Mickey Yasko
Fund awards scholarships to two college- bound Seminole High School seniors, one
male and one female, who exemplify excellence in academics and
athletics.
