Mac/ Apple Users Struggle To Find Poker Room
Incompatible Online Poker Software is Making it Difficult for Mac Users to Play Online Poker
(PRWEB) August 7, 2005 -- Online poker software for the most part is only
compatible with Windows which is making it very difficult for Mac users to
download and play online poker. Mac users are being forced to buy expensive
Virtual PC software to play the ever growing fad of online poker. Mac users
currently occupy 4.4% of the US population of PC users compared to Dell, which
is Windows compatible, who has over 19% of the PC market share. Many Mac users
have chosen to play online poker at www.Macpokerplayer.com
where this poker room has developed their software around this niche of Mac
users, where the software is a non-download online poker room.
A recent
interview was done with a Mac poker player who plays at www.Macpokerplayer.com.
Mac users do not have a lot of choices of poker rooms to play such as the more
popular Windows compatible poker rooms so this interview was done with Justin
Ambrosio to see how satisfied Mac users are with this Poker Room.
What
are your favorite/least liked things about Macpokerplayer.com?
“The players
are really bad, the graphics are cool and it’s easy to download. I don’t dislike
anything really except the tourneys can be slow to fill sometimes. I might just
like it because I’m up $400 in 5 days.”
What are your thoughts on the
bonuses and multi-table tournaments?
“The bonus is really weird how they do
it but it’s easy to get and they pay it out pretty quick. They have a $50,000k
guaranteed tournament for $30 entry fee. It’s a big pot for not too much risk.
The free rolls are good too but I don’t play in them because I'm up a lot of
money.”
Is it better than the other online poker sites?
“I’ve only
played at this site because I have a Mac and I didn’t want to buy the software
that you need for the other poker sites.”
Is there anything you would
like to add about Macpokerplayer.com poker room?
“Yeah, don’t tell any good
players about it. Im up and want it to stay that way. The players are terrible
here and I like it that way.”
Thank you for your interview Mr. Ambrosio
and we hope you have helped others Mac users find a place to
play.
Macpokerplayer website has a theme of “Tag the Fish” meaning that
their players are not pros which is just another way they try to attract new
players. With their exploitation of the Mac market their poker room niche market
share is only expected to continually grow in the next few quarters.
With
Mac users increasing their market share every quarter by nearly 16% we will see
a surge of Mac users trying to find a place to play online poker. Many
dominating poker rooms such as Party Poker, Paradise Poker and Pacific Poker do
not currently cater to Mac users and that is why www.MacPokerPlayer.com
has taken over the Mac niche market and given Mac users a place to play online
poker.
