The BPM Group today announced that in the first 45 days operation of their new BPM Learning System online training service, the system delivered over 500 hours of training. The BPM Group also announced the addition of a 3rd course for the system - Applying the Process Framework.
Boston, USA and Warwick UK (PRWEB) February 15, 2005 -- The BPM Group today
announced that in the first 45 days of operation of the BPM Learning System (the
BPM Group’s online training system for business process management) the system
delivered over 500 hours of Online Training to BPMG.org members.
In
addition, the BPM Group also announced the availability of a new course,
“Applying the Process Framework part 1,” bringing the total courses available in
the system to three (of eight scheduled for completion in the first half of
2005).
This announcement highlights the BPM Group’s focus on providing
the resources needed to help members succeed in the development, implementation
and maintenance of BPM initiatives. “The online training highlights our
commitment to provide members with multiple ways to engage with us in the
pursuit of education and skill building in BPM.” Said BPM Group Chairman Steve
Towers, “The popularity of the online training and our accredited classroom
training shows that we are definitely delivering what the community needs.”
Online courses are available to all BPMG members regardless of
membership level and are provisioned through the BPM Learning System that is an
integrated member account service of the BPM Group website, www.bpmg.org. Community members of
BPMG with full memberships are afforded substantial discounts on all courses.
“We knew this was an important resource for our members,” stated Mark McGregor,
“and the numbers certainly prove that point. Delivering over 500 hours of
training in the first 45 days of operation is impressive no matter how you look
at it!”
The first two courses present a comprehensive view of business
process management in regards to the broad scope of business challenges that BPM
can address and builds the background for the application of the 8 Omega
Framework to address these challenges. With the introduction of the third
course, the online training dives into the actions of applying the 8 Omega
Framework to real-world business scenarios, covering the first four activities
of the framework: Discovery, Analysis, Design and Validate. The fourth course
(that will be released in February) will cover the remaining activities of
Integrate, Implement, Control, and Improve.
The BPM Group online training
"is elegant, simple, content-rich and beneficial. It should be considered by all
businesses seeking to improve performance," states Doug Kirkpatrick, CEO of the
Celestia Group.
The 8 Omega Framework, which was publicly announced in
November of 2004, is a field tested framework for implementing BPM that includes
the flexibility necessary for the framework to apply to all types of business,
governmental and non-profit organizations. All BPMG members (including free
memberships) have access to the free 8 Omega Framework presentation available
from My Account on the BPMG website – www.bpmg.org. The 8 Omega Framework was developed by Steve
Towers, David Lyneham-Brown, Mark McGregor and Terry Schurter.
