(PRWEB) March 25, 2005 -- The Friends & Family program, an annual event
of the JI School of Spiritual Healing & Sufism (“JI”), gives participants
the opportunity to experience first-hand the process of spiritual healing
through the Sufi way. This free day-and-a-half program of spiritual development
and personal growth with JI students and faculty will be held in beautiful Lake
Arrowhead, California, on April 15-16, 2005.
The program officially
begins on Friday morning at 8 a.m. and concludes at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Visitors are welcome to join the faculty and staff on Thursday for dinner
beginning at 6 p.m., and stay the evening to enjoy the annual fund-raising
auction and entertainment.
Friends & Family participants from
previous years often report experiencing profound spiritual transformation
during the 36-hour event. The program offers many opportunities for spiritual
exploration and growth, including introductory classes, healings by students,
interaction with the faculty and students, as well as access to other programs
and events such as an auction, entertainment, and more. Founder and spiritual
director Dr. Robert Ibrahim Jaffe teaches some of the classes.
Reservations are required for the tuition-free Friends & Family
program. Early registration is recommended as this is a limited enrollment
program. Registrations may be made on-line at www.jaffeinstitute.org or
by calling 800-238-3060 ext. 27. Participants are responsible for lodging, food,
and travel costs.
The JI School of Spiritual Healing & Sufism is a
non-profit organization dedicated to fostering global peace through love,
healing, service, and leadership. The school trains people who want to combine
scientific, emotional, and spiritual approaches to healing. Through teleclasses,
workshops, and programs, the school offers its students exercises, tools,
demonstrations, and Sufi practices that are the path to living one’s highest
truth.
The JI is committed to global peace through love, healing,
service, and leadership, beginning with each person's heart. The aim of the
school is to heal the world, one heart at a time. Participants in the Friends
& Family program will have every chance to explore how the JI School of
Spiritual Healing & Sufism can support students in helping to create global
peace.
Dr. Jaffe and the faculty follow the Sufi path, a 1500-year-old
heart-based spiritual tradition. Students from many different spiritual and
religious traditions attend the school and are welcomed openly and lovingly.
Sufi practices are offered and taught. Students report that the training
enhances, deepens, and enriches their own personal spiritual practice and
relationship to the Divine. The JI’s aim is to give each student the
understanding and tools necessary to embody the love, peace, mercy, and
compassion of God.
Sufis, mystics who long to serve God, have long been
known as world servers, helpers, and healers. The Sufi message is one of peace,
love, mercy, justice, and freedom for all the people of the world.
As
Dr. Jaffe say, "The Sufi way is a very beautiful way. It is the way of seeing
God in everything, so that everything is valued in its perfection and loved as
if it were God. All of the healing work is ultimately done from that
perspective."
