Direct) April 4, 2005 -- The next meeting of Chicago QWAFAFEW will take
place on Thursday, April 21st, 2005 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, 20 S. Wacker Drive, Chicago. The topic will be "Electronic
Trading and the DNA of a Trader." The panelists for April’s meeting will examine
the cognitive, emotional, visual, spatial, pattern forming and intuitive skills
that explain the makeup of a successful electronic trader. The discussion will
be supplemented by an interactive hands-on electronic mock trading session and
will conclude with an open Q&A forum.
The panelists for the meeting
will be the co-creators of TraderDNA: (1) Mr. Ben Van Vliet, Associate Director
of the M.S. in Financial Markets program, Stuart Graduate School of Business,
Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago; and (2) Mr. David Norman,
Director of Market Technology at the Center for Financial Markets, IIT, and
Chairman of the Institute for Market Technology. The moderator for the evening
will be Mr. David Barone from Turning Point Securities, L.L.C. and a member of
the Chicago QWAFAFEW steering committee.
This will be the twenty-fifth
