The Wharton School Offers Program for Auto Industry Executives
Open to senior-level executives, the program will present insights on industry trends and offer perspectives on strategy and leadership.

education program on the top issues facing the global automotive industry. The
Wharton/IMVP Global Automotive Program will be held April 18-22, 2005 in
Philadelphia.
Open to senior-level executives, the program will present
insights on industry trends and offer perspectives on strategy and leadership.
Participants representing multinational companies will gain essential knowledge
in such areas as scenario planning and leadership strategies, next-generation
product development and distribution, and industry research.
The program
is held in collaboration with Wharton Executive
Education and the International Motor Vehicle Program (IMVP), a research
consortium based at MIT. Organizers are aiming to attract participants from
North America, Europe and Asia in order to share their expertise in the auto
industry’s highly competitive global market place.
The program is led by
John Paul MacDuffie, PhD, a management professor at the Wharton School, who
recently served as academic director of Wharton’s Toyota Executive Education
program. Others include Takahiro Fujimoto, University of Tokyo; Christophe
Midler, École Polytechnique; and Charles Fine and Michael Cusumano, MIT Sloan
School of Management.
