Confidence the Key to Being Comfortable With New Swim Fashions, Exposing Skin and Bare Feet at the Beach or Pool
Those who are most confident about going to the beach or pool stay in shape by exercising, eating wisely, keeping their skin clear and moisturized, and tending to their feet and toenails.
(PRWEB) June 29, 2005 --For most people, being able to pull off current
fashion trends with personal style is a confidence booster. And, without a
doubt, no season of the year requires more self-assurance with regard to
physical appearance than summer, when skin-exposing bikinis, tankinis, sandals
and bare feet provide the backdrop to America's beaches and pools. Those who are
most confident about going to the beach or pool stay in shape by exercising,
eating wisely, keeping their skin clear and moisturized, and tending to their
feet and toenails. They also select swimwear that's most flattering to their
particular shape, whatever that may be.
Fortunately, current fashion
trends in swimwear offer a wide range of options, both for men and women, making
that part of the equation a little easier. The hottest trends for women this
summer reflect a more feminine look, with graphic dots, bold color schemes and
classic paisley and florals. Crochet is in vogue, both for bikinis and in
detailing. One-piece suits with cut out sides emphasize midriffs and waists,
while thongs and G-strings are on the wane, giving way to more classic styling,
reminiscent of the 1960's.
Modest, retro styles are cool, and updated
with prominent details, including ruffles, ribbon details and sequin or metallic
embellishments. Midi sarongs that tie at the hip are also in
vogue.
According to Askmen.com fashion correspondent Karin Eldor, for
men, "the trend is primarily board shorts -- as in surfer style -- but the look
encompasses many different styles and colors." Patterns from bold florals to
conservative prints give guys the ability to select the style and length that
they feel most comfortable with. Retro nautical styling is hot, as
well.
However, even if you're in great shape and dressed in the latest
beachwear, ugly feet can ruin self-confidence about going to the beach and pool.
Like those who may be reluctant to wear a bikini because of their shape, many
individuals are embarrassed to expose their bare feet because of unattractive
yellow, discolored nails or rough, callused heels, and end up overly-dressed for
social outings at the pool or beach.
Podiatrist Jack Morgan of Monterey
Park, California, deals with patients whose self-confidence has been affected by
unattractive feet. He says, "Exposing feet in open-toed shoes or sandals results
in more emotional, psychological fear regarding the appearance of toenails.
Whether young or old, even with a pedicure, yellow or discolored toenails and
rough, cracked heels are not socially or emotionally acceptable."
Along
with other podiatrists around the country, Dr. Morgan recommends Xenna
Corporation's NonyX® Nail Gel for yellow, discolored nails and its Callex®
Callus Ointment for rough, callused feet. Xenna CEO C. J. Buck says, "When I go
to the Jersey Shore, I can't help but notice people's feet, because, well,
that's the business I'm in. You'd be surprised how many men wear hot, sweaty
sneakers on the sand and boardwalk. If they are not joggers, I often suspect
they’re hiding their toenails."
Patented NonyX Gel was developed to
provide a natural solution to the problem of yellow, dark or discolored nails.
Buck says, "NonyX is a topical, easy-to-use gel that breaks down and removes
keratin debris - the discolored, yellow or thick granular buildup under nails
which is the actual source of nail discoloration. It softens keratin debris
using natural ethanoic acid, and permits it to be scraped out from under the
nail after about four weeks. Once keratin debris is removed, NonyX Gel keeps
nails looking clear and attractive with regular use."
Podiatrists also
recommend the natural enzymes found in acid-free Callex Ointment for soft,
supple heels and to exfoliate callus. Newly patented, Callex has been shown in
consumer studies to significantly reduce callus, dry, flaking skin and cracking
on soles and heels within 15 to 30 days, and is safe for diabetic use. Callex
moisturizes dry, rough or flaky skin, and exfoliates and thins callused areas,
while leaving normal skin unaffected.
According to Buck, "Most people
really are concerned about whether or not their feet look attractive, and are
especially self-conscious at the beach or pool. Thousands of people who've used
our products have regained their confidence and are simply ecstatic to be able
to show their bare, healthy-looking feet in public!"
NonyX Nail Gel can
be purchased in the footcare section of Walgreens, Rite Aid, Longs, Drug
Emporium, Brooks and most Medicine Shoppe drugstores. You’ll also find it at HEB
and Brookshire grocery stores, through podiatric physicians, independent
pharmacies and online at www.drugstore.com and www.xenna.com. Callex Ointment is now available in the
