Ice Hotel Quebec-Canada: A Record Number of Weddings In The Newly-Designed Chapel
For Ice Hotel’s 5th season, the chapel will undergo an extreme makeover and will host more weddings than ever before. It is very likely that Ice Hotel will host its first same-sex wedding as well.
Quebec, QC (PRWEB) November 18, 2004 -- For Ice Hotel’s 5th anniversary, the
chapel will undergo an extreme makeover! The Ice Hotel designers have pushed the
envelope this time, as they will innovate the exterior of the Ice Hotel Chapel.
Inspired by the first churches built in Quebec, a design consisting of a snow
dome and snow steeple that will overhang an ice wall, will remind us of the
magnificent ecclesiastical building facades from the early 20th century. Special
attention will be paid to the interior decoration of this place of
celebration.
More Weddings Than Ever
In 2005, Ice Hotel will host more
weddings than ever before. “With the contracts already on hand and those to come
we should surpass last years total by at least a dozen more than last year,»
says Jacques Desbois, CEO of the Ice Hotel. “Increasingly, people look to add an
unusual element to their special day and choose a destination wedding. Our
unique chapel is the perfect place to celebrate a splendid wedding in an
enchanting setting.” http://www.icehotel-canada.com/en/rates/weddingpr.en.php
Gay-friendly
Tourism
Among the weddings this season, it is very likely that Ice Hotel will
host its first same-sex wedding. This clientele, which represents an important
potential market for the entire tourism industry has expressed particular
interest in Ice Hotel. The publications In Newsweekly and Holigay! The Pink
Pages from Boston and Toronto respectively, will be featuring the Ice Hotel in
their November editions. In the Quebec market, the La Voix du Village magazine
distributed in Montreal and Quebec has teamed up with Ice Hotel for a contest
set to begin in January.
Combine your visit with the activities offered
by our partners; Aventure Inukshuk (dogsledding), Portneuf Aventure
(snowmobiling), Catshalac (Ice fishing), and Duchesnay (cross-country skiing,
snow shoeing, skating).
January 7 to April 3, 2005, celebrate Ice Hotel’s
five seasons.
An ephemeral and grandiose place to rediscover
yearly.
