(PRWEB) July 10, 2005 --
Shinneyboo Creek Cabin Resort now offers, along
with their Luxury Log Cabin Bed and Breakfast, newly constructed Canvas
Walled-Tent Cabins. These brand new, affordable for the whole family, spacious
and gracious Tent Cabins with fresh-milled wooden floors, have plenty of beds
that will sleep up to eight people and comfort amenities for a modified
“pamping” experience (as in pampered camping for grown-ups too old to sleep on
the rocks) in and among the cedar grove and granite boulders overlooking the
Beautiful South Yuba River in the Tahoe National Forest.
Great for
family groups, reunions, weddings, anniversaries, birthday celebrations or just
plain old fashion fun and adventure in the High Sierra, everyone will love the
close-by access to hiking, fishing, and the amazingly huge swimming hole at
Jolly Rogers Cove on the stunning South Yuba River that runs through this 160
acre Cabin Resort.
Each cabin has a unique and private setting; "The
Overlook" is a stunning tent cabin with a private sitting area overlooking the
South Yuba River. "The Cedar" is at the base of a giant cedar snag. "The Grove"
is on flat ground surrounded by a cedar and pine forest.
Each Tent Cabin
also has a private campfire ring/grill and yet, even with the privacy, all the
Tent Cabins are snuggled together into a quiet Cedar Grove with our 30 ft.
canvas pavilion platform available for group gatherings and a large group
campfire ring for sing-along and ghost stories under the starry-night skies.
This winter they plan to possibly install stoves for heat and use as
their snowshoe paradise destination warming huts. Tent Cabins are only
$75.00/night each and sleep up to seven or eight. If you have a big gathering
planned you can invite the whole group to celebrate, with the pavilion as a
center for enlivening your event. At the moment, they have three 16 x 20 cabins
up and ready to go, with three more in the works.
Meanwhile, REI’s
award-winning adventure guides are busy putting the finishing touches on their
beautiful backpacking tent base camp site overlooking the South Yuba River.
Starting this weekend they are running REI’s Tahoe Adventure Camps up to Phoenix
Lake into the rugged granite above tree line High Sierra at the base of Old Man
Mountain, day hikes along the Pacific Crest Trail near Castle Peak and bike
trips to the Flume Trail at Lake Tahoe. These promise to be great adventure
trips with all equipment, food and guide services included. Check it out for a
wonderful no-fuss weekend adventure close to home on www.REI.com
Enjoy their close
proximity to the Pacific Crest Trail, Grouse Ridge OHV Recreation area, Five
Lakes Basin, Fordyce and Meadow Lake trails in the summer and the Donner Summit
ski resort areas, Truckee, Squaw Valley, and Lake Tahoe, in the winter, as well
as the culture of the Gold Country in Nevada City. Our cabins are located 15
minutes from Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Soda Springs and Royal Gorge.
Shinneyboo Creek Cabin Resort has also just this spring installed a
stunning 5,000 sq. ft. Wedding Site on The Point, complete with lawn, a granite
rock garden pathway lined with wild roses and irises, a choice of beautiful
natural stone altars and enough room for everyone on your guest list, with
spectacular panoramic views overlooking Grouse Ridge and Old Man Mountain.
Michael & Chris Rogers of Shinneyboo Creek Cabin Resort are
especially pleased to celebrate their first year anniversary of offering private
and intimate “cabins in the woods” for your relaxed romantic Sierra Nevada
