Customer Rating: Summary: Not worth the price Comment: I was not impressed when i recieved my order. Everything was a lot smaller then i expected and it definately wasn't worth the price. I'd return it but everything was so tightly packed together i couldnt even get the box closed again.
Customer Rating: Summary: Cons: Did not give me Super Powers Comment: Pros: Bought it for my mother for Christmas, she was overjoyed.
Cons: Bought it a little too close to Christmas, and it was backordered by a few weeks. Arrived Christmas Eve, had to hurry to wrap it. Solution: if you are buying this for someone for Christmas, hurry up and order it at least a few weeks in advance!
Also, this is a fine set of bakeware, if you or a loved one is into that sort of thing. Personally I don't eat anything that doesn't have "Microwave on high 3 minutes" on the side of the box, but that's just me...
The only annoyance I have is that, although it was for my mother, I am not a fan of the stoneware collection. It's makes a horrible sound when going into the oven, kind of like a scratching, screeching noise like nails on a chalkboard.
Overall quality of Corningware is excellent, as per usual. Beautiful products that will sit on your table and last for years to come. I know my mother had a very old set from the 80s before I bought her this one. The only thing she had to say about them is that this set doesn't have handles on any of the pieces, and her old set did on all of them. Then again her old set had a horrible bright orange flower pattern on it, and this one is a pretty white with textured outside bowls (I assume for easier gripping with no handles), and smooth inside.
Customer Rating: Summary: French White... What else do you need to know? Comment: We all know French White. We've all seen it and we all know what it is supposed to do. These dishes are perfect for baking and for serving. It works well and saves on dishes. It is neither the heaviest nor the lightest product on the market, but it is certainly perfectly manageable for the average person.
I am handicapped and I can still use them without difficulty.
I bought this set together with another set with metal holders which makes it easier to remove from the oven and the covers, which came with both sets, work well for both certain cooking functions and for storage. Supplementing this set with another one allows me to bake just about whatever I want easily. The fact that one can take the set straight from the oven and serve it as is makes it all the more convenient.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not Bad Comment: The corningware casseroles are okay. One was broken in the shipment. Amazon provided me with a 25% discount. I think I would like them better if they had handles.
Customer Rating: Summary: Also Broken plus.... Comment: My set also arrived with two very broken bowls. They were double boxed. The outside shipping box was in fine shape. The inside box from CorningWare was all banged up. The damage was NOT done in shipping. Someone at the warehouse knew they were broken when packed into the second box. Amazon referred me to Corning and they shipped replacements right away with no hassel at all.
I too was not aware this was not like the old Corning that could go from freezer to oven so I cannot not use for the purpose I bought them. It does however bake nicely and looks good on the table. The glass lids could use more of a lip and want to slide off at the worse possible moment. Overall not a good experience and will not purchase again.

Who'd have thought a material first developed for missile nose cones would someday be used to make bakeware? Clearly rugged, and able to withstand incredible temperature extremes, Corningware manages to arrive at the dining table looking elegant and unruffled by whatever might have transpired in the kitchen. This product can go in the microwave, freezer, oven and dishwasher without a care in the world. Now how many others can make that claim?
