Summary: Great yoga mat!
Comment: I've practiced yoga for only a little over a year, five mornings a week. Until purchasing the Manduka, I was using one of those thin, inexpensive yoga mats. I first became aware of these Manduka mats through my yoga instructor. I finally decided to purchase one once our classes were held outdoors, on a cement surface. This new mat is truly a great product. It's much thicker and provides cushion and support. Although there were cleaning instructions provided to get rid of the initial rubber smell, I admit that I did nothing. Just with use, the smell quickly wore off. I highly recommend this mat to anyone practicing yoga regularly. The difference is remarkable. My hands don't slip and the mat doesn't move at all. Although pricey, it's well worth the investment if you have more than a passing interest in yoga.

Comment: After letting the mat air out - as suggested on the label accompanying the mat - it has been absolutely perfect for my Yoga practice. I would never use any other type or brand of mat. Love the extra length and width and thickness as well. Well worth the price.

Comment: This mat was delivered within a few days with free shipping and an excellent price. I am very pleased. The mat is the same 1/4 inch depth as my other mat, however the material is superior, as it provides a firmer support and cushion of my knees, hands, feet and spine. I would recommend this mat and Amazon to anyone. I have always received exceptional service with Amazon.

Summary: COULD BE STICKIER
Comment: I am enjoying this new mat. I have tried putting it in the sun to make it stickier, but maybe I have not done it enough times. The smell did not bother me, I clean it with a lavender scented non toxic cleanser. I like that it is a bit longer, I almost wish I would have got the 81". I didn't because I read it was too heavy, and I didn't want to get in anyone's way in Yoga class! It would have been fine. This one is great too! I do slip a little.
