Comment: Unless you have a room the size of a coat closet, do not buy this product. I woke up with static cling in the morning after it had run all night. Not a good buy.

Comment: I've got multiple humidifiers, so I have experience.
This machine has a very strong smell of burning plastic. The first day it was awful, it is declining a bit, but that is not normal.
I would recommend buying a Holmes if you can, this brand is not as good a quality.

Comment: THIS Duracraft DWM250 2-1/2-Gallon Warm Mist Humidifier WORKS AS BETTER THAN MANY OTHERS I HAVE USE. EASY TO REFILL AND STARTS TO HUMIDIFY WARM MOIST VAPORS IN 5 MINUTES. I HAVE SINCE PURCHASED 4 MORE. IT WILL GO THROUGH ITS CONTAINER OF WATER IN ABOUT 10 HOURS ON HIGH SETTING. ALSO HAS AUTO SHUT OFF WHEN EMPTY. I PURCHASED THESE AFTER MY DOCTOR ADVISED ME TOO FOR MY YOUNG DAUGHTER TO USE IN WINTER. I ALSO LOOKED AT HONEYWELL, BUT AFTER READING REVIEWS I DECIDED TO GET THIS ONE.

Summary: Works well but name creates confusion
Comment: The product works well. It keeps a medium size room humidified during very cold weather. There was much confusion in the reviews that I read before purchasing it about its claim to be a 2-1/2 gallon humidifier. If you read the box, the fine prints says that the 2-1/2 gallon figure refers to its daily OUTPUT not the size of its reservoir, which is a little misleading since that information is not in the product description that you can read before you buy. It does its job well. Just be prepared to refill the reservoir 2-3 times in 24 hours if you run it on high.
