Comment: I've had conventional mousetraps set for 2 weeks with no success. I bought these and set them last night. This a.m. I had the little critter!! They couldn't have been easier to set, were very, very trigger sensitive, and extremely easy to dispose of. I just have one word for them . . . AWESOME!!

Comment: Alas, these traps did nothing for me. Admittedly, our resident mice have become very trap-shy, but even so, they didn't even bother to eat the bait. We've had better luck with the more traditional snap-traps and the box live-trap.

Comment: After giving up on the classic wooden traps (setting those in our crawlspace had become too painful!), we bought both the Intruder Better Mouse Trap and the Snap-E traps. Our purchase was based on reviews here on Amazon.
Well, we can report that the "Better Mouse Trap" is not better, nor does it catch mice. After placing six of each type in comparable spots, only the Snap-E traps caught any mice. The Better Mouse Trap did catch a rather large cricket.
Skip this product and go for the Snap-E traps (also available on Amazon).

Comment: Don't bother getting any other mouse trap. Period.
I've had two of the Intruder "Better Mouse Trap" for more than three years. All other kinds have broken and failed to catch mice. Those Intruder traps have caught more mice WITH NO bait than the rest with cheese, peanut butter, and every other bait I've tried. This is why I just ordered 6 more "Better Mouse Trap": I am finally throwing out all the other kinds of traps. Six is more than I need, but I expect I'm going to loan some out and not get them back. Once you see how well these work, you'll understand the temptation.
One more thing, they do have a sensitive hair-trigger. Well worth the extra seconds it takes to set the trap sometimes: you only THOUGHT you didn't vibrate the trigger while setting it :)
Another reviewer suggested anchoring the trap. In 20+ catches, I never had a live catch until recently. I thought my wife had thrown out the trap with yet another mouse, but found the trap, and the expired mouse, under the nearby packing supplies. Excuse me while I go look for some string...
