Summary: Excellent Hiking Boots!
Comment: I purchased these Altitude IV insulated boots for a trip to Alaska, and they were perfect for hiking around in the damp forest. The boots were comfortable from the first day, with no blisters or hot spots or break-in time required. I added some external water-proofing to the nubuck surface, and had no problem with moisture ingress at all.

These shoes are made with waterproof (seam-sealed) nubuck leather uppers and soft leather padded collars. It has a fully gusseted leather tongue and 200g Thinsulate® insulation. This shoe is made with rustproof brass hardware, a lightweight compression-molded EVA midsole, and a steel shank for added rigidity. It also has a durable carbon rubber outsole and a comfort-tec removable sockliner.
