Comment: this is so easy to make a cup of very tasty coffee or two, and I like it's very easy to clean it ..well, it may not be a great tool to make a lot of cups of coffee at once though.

Summary: You Won't Be Disappointed
Comment: I have had the AeroPress for about a year now and it is the only thing I use to make coffee now. I am still amazed at what great coffee it makes. Recently I considered that maybe I had only imagined that the AeroPress made better coffee than my standard 12-cup coffee brewer, so I ground up some beans from the same bag as I was using for the AeroPress and made a pot of coffee. Nope. The AeroPress coffee is in a whole other league: smooth, rich, enhances the flavor of the coffee, and is not bitter.
The product packaging and some of the claims made by Aerobie may lead you to believe that this is a gimmick or novelty item: not true! Not only does the AeroPress make great coffee, but it is very easy to use and clean up. Just heat up some water, pour it on the grounds, stir, press the coffee through, rinse off the AeroPress, and you're done. The unit is also very sturdy - I've been using it daily for about a year and it still shows no signs of wear. Here are some of my thoughts on the Aeropress:
PROS:
- Makes great coffee (grind whole bean for best results)
- Versatile: Make yourself a cappuccino, americano, latte, etc.
- Cheap: Starbucks can't make a cup off coffee half as good using equipment that costs 100 times as much!
- Easy to use
- Quick cleanup: Just pop out the "coffee puck" and rinse under hot water and you're done (be sure to pull the plunger back out to ensure that it retains its shape)
- Resists wear and tear
- Space saver: very light and compact, easy to store in a drawer or cabinet, throw it in your suitcase and have great coffee on the road!
- Fun to experiment with as it gives you total control over the brewing process (i.e. amount of water, water temperature, amount of grounds, fineness of grind, length of brewing period, etc.)
CONS:
- Not practical if preparing for more than 2 or 3 people (in my opinion)
- The fineness of the grounds proportionately affects the difficulty of the pressing action. If you use a very fine grind, it can be very difficult to "press" the coffee. On the other hand, maybe it is good strength training? In my opinion, the quality of the result more than makes up for this caveat. Five stars.
Conclusion: The AeroPress will put an end to the littering of your home with half-drunk cups of coffee (my dad calls such people "coffee lookers"). You won't be disappointed. I bought one for my sister and she has since decommissioned her 12-cup coffee maker in favor of the AeroPress. Comments welcome.

Summary: Perfect for those with heart burn!
Comment: Wow! I've tried French presses, stovetop espresso makers, and of course, normal drip coffee, and none of them make coffee half as well as the Aeropress!! I've always wanted an espresso machine, but never wanted to pay the $700 plus for a good model... not to mention the maintenance and counter space. Well I can now say I've found the perfect coffee maker. Also, I suffer from chronic heart burn, and this is the ONLY coffee that I've ever drank without experiencing any heartburn. it's a miracle. I'm buying another one right now just for my office... and regarding the comments that the aeropress requires too much ground coffee for what you get... get over it. It's espresso. It always requires more coffee than drip...

Summary: Great "instant" coffee
Comment: I have used my AeroPress for maybe four years now and just purchased a new one for a favorite niece for Christmas. I originally bought mine because it got reviews for making good coffee and was small and nonbreakable so I travelled with it in my RV. I tried to keep things simple in the RV and the hockey-puck grounds ejection made clean-up easy.
I no longer have the RV, so my AeroPress has become the daily staple in the kitchen. I have to say that it is made well because it still functions perfectly after 4 years of use. I use it throughout the day for very fresh coffee a cup at a time. We also have a fine Rancilio espresso machine and a Bodum french press. High quality coffee beans are critical to getting good coffee from any of them and I love them all. But I use the AeroPress more because I can make just a cup. Also, it is perfectly fresh. When I walk away from the french press for 4 minutes, I often get distracted and come back for coffee much later. With the AeroPress, I measure my water into a Pyrex measuring cup and microwave it for my perfect time. If I walk off from that, I can come back and reheat it for a minute and am sipping fresh coffee within a minute and a half.
One minor negative? I seem to always have the AeroPress parts drying on my drainboard so my kitchen never has that perfect Martha Stewart look. The good news is that it is always ready for the next cup. But in my fantasy world, the parts would be smaller, dry instantly, and store out of sight in a second.

Summary: excellent cup of coffee
Comment: this item was a Christmas gift, so we have not used it for very long, but so far it is an excellent coffee maker. You can make several cups at once it you would like, but we've found that it works best to make each cup individually. As a result it would not be my first choice for a large gathering. However, the coffee from the AeroPress tastes great and it is really fast and easy to use and clean up. The coffee only brews for 10 seconds and after pressing you cup of coffee all you have to do is press the grounds out and your clean up is done.
