Summary: GIVE THIS BOOK TO YOUR DOCTOR
Comment: I am a retired person who has always read "health" books...since
I was 10 years old. Now, at 67, I am devouring them. This book was particularly helpful to me because while I have always known that iodine prevents goiter and is essential for optimal health, I had NO idea that it plays such a crucial role in so many aspects of our health. I also did not know that iodized salt falls far short of supplying us with what we need of this nutrient. I am buying additional copies of this book for my doctor, friends, and relatives.
We all need strong immune systems in this day and age.

Summary: Fibromyalgia or hypothyroid
Comment: I have been sick 6 years with "fibromyalgia" and recently a naturopath gave me lugol's iodine to use on my skin. I was surprised how fast it absorbed. I have heard if you absorb the iodine within 24 hours, you're deficient. I'm still tentative because I have tried everything for chronic fatigue and pain, but for the past few days I've gotten out of bed with energy and very little pain. It's cold and rainy in my area which means I usually have a very hard time moving around. Not so right now. I'm excited that this could all be explained very simply.
When I was first diagnosed, I recalled an article I had read when I was 15 about a woman who had hypothyroid and her symptoms. I thought for sure this was my problem, but my tests always come back normal. More extensive testing was done, which came back low-normal. I didn't realize some that test within normal ranges are still treated for hypothyroid based on their symptoms.

Summary: A Must Read!
Comment: I had a thyroid tumor when I was 9 months pregnant. I had it removed 2 weeks after I had my baby and am left with half of a thyroid. I wish I had read this book before my pregnancy. My baby is two now and has turned out very healthy, active, and intelligent--but I feared the worst.
Doctors all rejected the idea that the tumor could be from lack of iodine. If I had had the tumor 60 years before this, doctors would probably have addressed iodine deficiency first. This book explains the need for iodine in a understandable way for the layman. I wish every doctor knew of the information inside of it. It gives simple solutions to serious problems through iodine supplementation. I have read as many books on thyroid health that I can get my hands on and this one along with Broda Barnes' book is by far my favorite.

Summary: Answers a lot of questions
Comment: I found this an easy to read book and it answers a lot of questions about thyroid deficiency and especially the epidemic of breast cancer and prostate cancer. I have purchased 8 copies for my friends and family as I think it is a very important book about a nutrient that is in very short supply. This book also addresses chlorine and Floride in our drinking water and the hazards they are creating to health.

Summary: Great Book and Iodine Success
Comment: This was a very informative book, although repetitive at time. I've started using the iodine with great success. I'm using it in conjunction with coconut oil for Thyroid problems. I have noticed more energy, my hair is glossy again and I have experienced some weight loss. Thank you for this information!

Lugol's Iodine will only be available in 2 oz. bottles of 4% potassium iodide and 2% iodine (94% distilled water) according to new DEA regs.
