Comment: I received my Canon mp210 and successfully got it working on my Debian Linux machine with little effort. It seems to be a very good product and since the installation was so simple I'll give a quick guide to get it working.

I used alien to convert the scangear mp210 driver from rpm to deb.
After installing the needed packages you can use the gnome-cups-manager to install the printer.

Summary: Lousy Software
Comment: The images seem good enough. The software, however, is SO SO anti-intuitive. Every little thing I want it to do requires 10 minutes of hunting through the program to find where the function is and how to apply it.
I wish EPSON printers would make a comeback.

Summary: I'm not in love...
Comment: We bought this about 2 months ago to replace our HP all-in-one that we'd had for about 3 years.
Set up was simple...a non-issue. I just followed the directions and that was that.
We use this daily for printing. (I'm guessing 10 pages or so a day.) For the most part, it works just fine. Occasionally, it pulls a sheet of paper in crookedly and makes a real mess of things. I could do without that nonsense.
What bugs me every time is that, when you send a job to the printer, the printer makes its little sounds, gets itself ready, then goes silent. Pause. Then, it prints. I'm never sure it's going to do anything until it does it. I hate that.
Bottom line...it was cheap, it works okay. Do I love it? No, but it was cheap and it works okay. It serves its purpose.
