I was afraid to even use it as I didn't want to mess up my IPOD. I plugged it into the IPOD once and the IPOD did something strange on the screen so I unplugged it and filed this in the "round" file. One for myself, and one for each of my kids. We tried using them with our 3rd Generation iPod Nanos, and none of them worked. My son plugged his in first and it did not charge his iPod at all, it actually locked it up and I had to reset it. I thought the charger may have been bad; however, my other son plugged his in with his charger and although his iPod did not lock up, it never charged either. Not worth the money at all.
