Customer Rating: Summary: This is a good deal Comment: It came in about a week (from CPO in Georgia). It looks nearly new, not used. It started on the third pull. It blew leaves, as advertised.
It is not the most powerful, and neither is it the lightest weight unit. However, at $90 delivered, it is a good compromise for my small yard with lots of oaks. We had wind and rain in the week I waited for it to arrive, so the leaves were thick and wet. The unit is adequate for my needs.
I put a shoulder strap on it from a duffle bag. This helped me to use it for two hours straight. My hands got a little numb/tingly, but that is to be expected from any two-cycle engine you carry around. Maybe wearing gloves would help a little.
I did not care much for the blower tube. I am barely six feet tall, but the tubes seemed short. I was able to attach the end piece from the Echo blower I had fried two weeks earlier, and that worked well.
I have not seen anything for the price that seems to be as good a blower as this. If anything, I might want more power, but then I would want a backpack or wheels, because it would probably weigh more. And it would cost more than twice as much.
As for it being reconditioned, I have no doubt that it is as good as new. No reservations, a solid recommendation.
Customer Rating: Summary: Just OK Comment: Product is just OK, does not provide velocity I was looking for. My Craftsmen died after 6 yrs and after reading the reviews, thought I would give it a try. Would go with the Craftsmen if I had it to do over.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not Ready To Go Comment: I bought this because of the price, power, and name-brand. I was happy to see that the product arrived in a like-new condition with a new manual and leaf-bag. But it would not start. I had to take it to a shop to diagnose the problem. It required a new, better make of spark plug to get it running. It is hard to start still, but once running the blower is as powerful as advertised. If you like pulling on starting cords, this is your product!
Customer Rating: Summary: Ryobi 25.4cc hand held blower Comment: Excellent product for the price. No problems. You need to assemble the handgrip if you want to use the vacuum feature; and the ground wire was not already attached and the instructions and pictures do not show clearly where and how exactly to attach it. Doesn't really feel like 205mph blower but nevertheless, I am satisfied with its performance. The blower tubes are angled too far down, so that it touches the ground before the blower body. Makes it a little awkward to try to brace the blower on the ground to engage the starting routine, but again, it's only a minor inconvenience to me, compared to the POS Homelite blower that wouldn't stay running once I had it started. Compared to the Homelite, this is heaven (even tho I read that Ryobi and Homelite are made by same manufacturer).
Customer Rating: Summary: Great blower plenty of power awesome price and looks new Comment: I purchased this blower from amazon and could not be more pleased. I had an old homelite blower that was hard to start and was not very powerful. This ryobi blower is very easy and quick to start and has plenty of power and is not too loud I have had other gas blowers that are much louder. It is pretty lightweight and makes cleaning up my acre of land a breeze. It looked almost brand new out of the box with just a few scratches on the bottom. All the accessories were new and included. Overall a great value at $85 on amazon. At my local retailer it sells new for $140. I would recommend this blower.
