Customer Rating: Summary: best parenting magazine there is! Comment: This is the only magazine that I read as soon as it comes in the mail, even when I'm shirking my work to do it. It's also the only parenting magazine that makes me laugh out loud and offers ideas for activities that appeal to me, without the excessive cutesy stuff. In fact, I love it so much that I bought four friends gift subscriptions for Mother's Day this year!
I am amazed at all the complaints about advertising. Wondertime doesn't have nearly as much advertising as the other parenting magazines I receive, and FAR fewer than most women's magazines.
Customer Rating: Summary: Magazine that highlights the wonderful things of parenthood. Comment: I like this magazine because it has a very calm, laid back approach, and encourages parents to enjoy all the little wonderful things of being a parent.
Customer Rating: Summary: Ok Magazine Comment: I ordered this magazine since I could get it for $5. It is just ok. Many of the articles don't interest me. My daughter is only 3, but I still feel like most of the articles are aimed towards infants.
Customer Rating: Summary: Why so sour on advertisements? This is a great mag. Comment: It kills me the other reviewers are complaining about ads in magazines. As a writer, I can tell you lots of advertisements are a sign of a healthy magazine. The amount of text you get in the book is directly related to the number of ad pages. Fewer ad pages=fewer articles. Don't whine about the advertising. If you want magazines to stay around, get over it.
As far as the magazine, this, to me, is the publication for "thinking" moms. Wondertime infuses the real experiences of motherhood with everything from deep reflections to fun learning activities. If you have an attention span that likes articles longer than a page or two and that doesn't need to be spoon-fed every idea with tons of graphics and little "bite sized" articles, you'll love Wondertime.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not for me Comment: This magazine has very little content as far as I am concerned. I like all of the sweet pictures and poems, but I am looking for more meat in my parenting magazines, like activities for different age groups, and common issues that moms have. I also think this is geared towards parents with money to burn, some of the recommended products are pretty steep for the average family.
