Comment: The Curve charging pod has kept me from fishing for my charge cable when I charge at night. My BlackBerry now takes up less space on my nightstand, and is easier to find in the morning. The LEDs built into the unit also serve as something of a night-light. It helps me find my way to bed at night. It is actually bright enough that I like to set my wallet in front of it to keep my bedroom darker! It is very satisfying to grab my BlackBerry in the morning and not have to carefully remove a charger plug. An added plus is that the contacts are also compatible with the Pearl (though the fit is not as snug). I am able to charge both of my BlackBerries with the same unit. It has quickly become a favorite accessory.

Comment: This is a great dock for the curve. You may not notice but the blackberry insignia on the front is actually an LED which lights up when the curve is in the cradle, charging. Great for a bedside cradle if you use your curve as an alarm clock. Also great for work. Looks great. This requires a charging cable which plugs into the back(sold separately).

Comment: Product is very nice and charges the phone. Product DOES NOT sync your phone. To sync the phone you must insert the mini-usb into the side of your phone as usual. Product description reads as if the pod does it all. Inaccurate.

Summary: If Only it worked as good as it looks
Comment: The OEM Blackberry Curve Charging Station is a fine piece of desktop jewelery. It looks great, and the Curve easily slips into the dock. The device does what is supposed to (after confirming with BB Technical Support), but doesn't do the things I thought it would based on its description.
1. The device will not sync simply when docked. It still requires the USB plug to be inserted into the mini USB slot on the side of the device. This is not convenient for those not on an Enterprise plan, and require manual syncing.
2. The LED's will always stay lit (white) when the device has power (AC Power or USB powered). They do not turn off, or change colors, to indicate any change of status (i.e. new message, charge completed, etc.).
If you are looking for a convenient way to charge your Curve without having to plug in the mini USB chord, this device is for you. If you manually sync/charge through your PC, you may want to save your money.

Place phone in cradle so that charging connector aligns with the port on your phone. Plug connector from AC charger (sold separately) into stand. Charging starts automatically.
