Summary: Pretty Good Debut, just one little thing...
Comment: It's been a long time since I listened to an album from beginning to end and was impressed with near perfect consistency in the quality of the lyrics, layout and sound composition. But Lady Antebellum pulled it off, there was just one little thing.

Charles Kelley is more than capable as the male lead in the group with his sexy, all-man (no falsettos here!) vocals and I have NO complaints. However, Hillary Scott is not the most powerful voice out there, she works out fine as a back-up vocalist but comes off weak when featured on her own. And on multiple listens to the album I couldn't help but notice the distortion in sound where they had to tone Kelley down and mix Scott up. The sound flow is clearly interupted, especially on the tunes where Scott's voice is so obviously layered over the top of Kelley's, thus hindering his natural deep baratone and you know she dosen't have the pipes to go over him without help.

Once I was aware of this I found it distracting, yet I still really enjoy this album. I just hope that on their second outing they get a better engineer who can mix their voices for a more natural and believable sound.

Summary: Great album!
Comment: I had heard the song "Love Don't Live Here" on the radio several times and really liked the beat. I previewed a few of the other songs and purchased the album...not a bad song on it. I sing to all the songs and "rock out" in my car...safely of course! ;o

Summary: GREAT CD
Comment: I LOVE THIS CD! It has a great blend of up-tempo and slow songs. I also think it's great because it is so relaxing to me I can fall asleep to it that when I know I bought a great cd. The only problem I have w/it is that You can only just barely hear Dave Haywood on only one song. Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott have such great voice they drown out the third member. Other than that it's a WONDERFUL CD.

Summary: Fantastic
Comment: I'll admit that they're first song, "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" didn't catch me like it did everyone else. However i thought i would give them a chance. I love this CD! It is one of the best country albums I have heard this year and it will definetely not disappoint. The best tracks are 2, 3 (my favorite), 6, 8, 10, and 11. They are also a band who does not dissapoint in concert, they sound just as good if not better live. Definetely worth checking out.

Summary: Review
Comment: Great CD! Not your typical CD with only a few good songs. I love the fact that this group has written most or all of their own songs. It's no surprise that they recently won a CMA award!

Editorial Reviews:

There has been a buzz in Music City since mid-2006 when Lady Antebellum performed together for the very first time. The trio- comprised of Hillary Scott (vocals), Charles Kelley (vocals), and Dave Haywood (vocals, acoustic guitar, keys)- says their name, "Lady Antebellum," represents a sense of nostalgia found in the songs they sing. "It felt like magic," says Hillary, remembering their first performance together, "We all felt more comfortable onstage together than we ever had alone."

A year and a half later, the buzz on Lady Antebellum is as strong as it's ever been, and the rest of the nation will soon discover why. Hillary, Charles, and Dave, three young songwriter-musicians with varied influences and backgrounds, create a sound that is fresh and unique, yet still sounds like something you've known for a long time. The debut single, "Love Don't Live Here," is only the beginning for Lady Antebellum. The "Lady A" buzz is coming...April 15!
