Summary: Great Cover
Comment: This just feels better built than the cover amazon provides, and it definitely holds the kindle in better. The only complaint I have id trying to get to the on/off and wireless switches, but that is more amazon's fault than m-edge (for crappy placement). I found that putting the loop that supposed to go over the top right corner of the kindle over the back of the cover instead, it allows me easier access to those switches, and the Kindle remains in the cover pretty securely.

Comment: I bought the M-edge to replace the cover Kindle supplies. It has two flaws: 1) it is hard to get the Kindle in and out of the cover, and 2) the only way to turn the Kindle on or off is to fish it out of the cover (provoking problem 1). This is bad design.

Summary: Sub-Standard Quality, Overpriced, Poor Execution, Flea Market Bargain Bin Grade Item
Comment: I decided to overlook the many complaints about staining from this case, believing I could deal with those issues. But I wish now that I hadn't. Not because I have staining issues (yet - I just got it), but because the price to value ratio, and the construction of this item, make it a bad buy.
Placing anything in the pockets of the suede lining generates a tearing sound as the suede rips away from the cardboard backing to which it is apparently glued. The suede itself is so thin as to be fragile. The stitching is inadequate in the size of thread, and the pitch too great. Fit and finish is poor. I do not expect this unit to last long, and I doubt that I can make use of the "pockets" without seeing failures occur in short order.
I suppose the fact that this case stains people's Kindles should have been a clue that this item was of low quality. Had I paid flea market prices for this I would have not felt so bad about it, but I paid a price commensurate with a decent quality product.
Why so many positive reviews about this product? I'm not sure. Perhaps there have been some production runs which were better quality. Or perhaps some folks are just more easily pleased. Whatever the reason, I would gladly replace this case with something else of better quality if I can find it.
I strongly suggest you look long and hard for other options before buying this overpriced and sub-standard item.
