Customer Rating: Summary: Great CD! Comment: I really liked "Johnny and June" on the radio, so I bought this CD. There are two or three other tracks that showcase Heidi's remarkable voice. I prefer the softer, slower songs like track #5. I love country music, but often find the women's voices too high to be enjoyable for an entire CD. Heidi seems to have a good range to her voice, so this is the CD that's currently running in my truck on my drive to work and home.
Customer Rating: Summary: buyer Comment: The CD is not that good. I have only listened to it 1 time and the hit song seemed to be the best song.
Customer Rating: Summary: Big disappointment Comment: From all the hoopla and praise this CD has received, I thought it might be pretty good. Most of the songs are horrible. I listened to it once and that will probably be the last time. Besides "Johnny & June" there wasn't much to it.
Customer Rating: Summary: pleasant cd Comment: it isnt the most addictive cd ive ever had, but its pretty good. "johnny and june" though is an addicting song... so its worth the purchase
Customer Rating: Summary: No trick here! Comment: A very nice initial solo effort by Heidi. Her distinctive vocal stile comes through on most songs. I particularly liked Johnny and June and Nothin' Burns Like a Memory. The title song of the CD - What am I waiting fo is also well done.

Formerly the lead singer of Trick Pony, Heidi Newfield steps into the next career chapter with her solo debut, What Am I Waiting For. The album features six tracks co-written by Heidi including the album's crown jewel, Johnny & June. Of the album, Heidi remarks, I really was only interested in cutting a record that was going to step out and have some relevance in this day and age, when we are head-to-toe in pop culture, videos and imagery...we don' t always listen with our ears anymore, we listen with our eyes. The album s depth showcases Heidi' s trademark vocals in the stunning despair of Wreck You, the inspiring title track What Am I Waiting For and the raucous and hilarious Knocked Up.
