Customer Rating: Summary: Asian Die-nasties Comment: An excellent upgrade. A little hard to get used to, when your people don't need to hunt. Vegetarians. Who can understand them? Anyway, as the inventors of gunpowder enter into the game, things get more explosive. A fun romp.
Customer Rating: Summary: Weak Single Player Campaigns, but nice improvements to game engine Comment: This expansion pack for Age of Empires III has several improvements to the AOE III game engine that will be appreciated by all those who have played the forerunners in the series.
The big letdown was in the single player campaigns. They were far shorter and left me quite dissatisfied. There are three "Acts" and if you were to combine all of them together they would have made one good "Act".
Multiplayer, however, does benefit from the new variations allowed by the additional nations and their associate characteristics.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun with some glitches Comment: Some original material including, Japanese, Chinese and Indian civilizations, but some older cultures and scenarios are included. Sometimes hard to win even on Easy setting. If you liked earlier Age of Empires games, you will like this one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun, historical and overall great game! Comment: Yes you need Age of Empire III and that is because this is an expansion pack, this means you add the levels of this game to the original game. In anycase this is a great expansion pack and truly adds to the Age of Empires series. Plus the computer game play is well managed a big plus. Well worth your money even if you have to buy the base pack.
Customer Rating: Summary: System Requirements Should Be Specified Comment: Product description is incomplete. Amazon or seller should list system requirements. We received AOE III: The Asian Dynasties to be disappointed that we should also have Age of Empires III installed priorily. This is quite an expensive game or expansion pack. Can't even rate game at this time b/c we can't play it.

Experience firsthand the rich and historical influences of Asia while commanding units and expanding your empire in the Eastern world. In Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties, three new campaigns?comprised of 15 new scenarios?tell stories of Asian struggle during some of the most pivotal moments in history. In 15th century China, an immense treasure fleet aims to expand the influence of the Ming Dynasty to distant shores. When a power hungry admiral sends the ships adrift into seas unknown, the voyage takes an unexpected turn...to the west. In 16th century Japan, a loyal general leads the armies of his adopted father, Tokugawa Ieyasu, in a bid to seize power. But as the greater war rages, a surprising revelation ignites an unexpected internal struggle that must be won before the epic Battle of Sekigahara. In 19th century India, a soft-spoken lieutenant in the pay of the British East India Company can endure the foreign occupiers no longer, and takes up arms against his superiors.
